Four exhibitions continue at the Midwest Museum of American Art


ELKHART — The “Nature: Forms & Forces, The Photographs of Algimantas Kezys” exhibit continues through March 6 at the Midwest Museum of American Art, 429 S. Main St.

This exhibition highlights a selection of gelatin silver prints by Lithuanian photographer Algimantas Kezys (1928-2015).

The museum has 70 black and white photographs of this ordained Jesuit priest who, from the early 1960s, pursued life as he saw it through the viewfinder of his 35mm camera.

Other exhibits include the following:

“Mary Amador: Embracing Family – A Spotlight Exhibit, through February 20: The exhibit consists of 12 multimedia works that relate to the artist’s biographical experiences told through portraits of her children and family.

“Recent acquisitions from the permanent collection”, until February 20: this exhibition looks back on the last 10 years to highlight some of the most important collections of the museum acquired from 2011 to 2021.

“Norman Rockwell: America’s Illustrator”, until September 2: this extensive collection of collotypes and lithographs includes some of his most famous magazine covers.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is $10 to $6.
